New House and New to Homesteading

We moved into our first house over the Summer and then I had a baby in the kitchen the following week. Seriously. We thought he would be born at our rental house, but he came 2 weeks late. This was our third homebirth and our forth son. A good start to homesteading!
Since we have bought 7 hens, took in a couple puppies, planted a country church, homeschooled our oldest, experimented in cloth diapering, and have begun to research goats.
We are now in a deep freeze here and I, for one, can not wait until the start of Spring!! I'm sure our dogs are in agreement with me. They are not indoor dogs, but are indoor so they don't freeze for now, however they are only in our sunroom, keeping the rest of our house dog hair free.
We are now looking forward to planting our new garden! I'm counting down the weeks. Ten to go!
